The Special Adviser to the Governor on Social Investment, Hon. Buhari Bello Sahabi, (Buhari Na Malam) has resigned from his appointment with an immediate effect to preserve his integrity, family, and supporters.

According to the letter signed by the former Special Adviser and obtained by Stallion Times in Sokoto, he said his resignation became imperative given the recent development in the state to preserve his integrity and honour.

He said the resignation was done after due consultation with his family, friends, political associates, and well-wishers within the state political arena.

“I tendered my resignation as Special Adviser to Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto unequivocally.

The letter further reads:

“The decision to forsake and resign my appointment became necessary given the recent developments which are by every measure, seen as an attempt to subject him and his supporters to another round of humiliation and to relegate them to the background.

“I take this hash decision to quit my appointment as a Special Adviser to preserve my hard-earned integrity and honour outside and inside the state.

“I thank His Excellency most sincerely for the opportunity given to me, to serve the people of my dear state and wish him the very best in his Political endeavour throughout his stay in office.”
