Kano CP Decorates CSP Mu’awuya Abdullahi, Others as ACP

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, on Monday, decorated Mu’awuya Abubakar Abdullahi and 14 other newly promoted Senior Police Officers of Kano State Command as Assitant Commissioners of Police.

A statement by the Command’s Deputy Spokesperson, ASP Abdullahi Hussaini, said the newly decorated Officers are beneficiaries of the promotion released by the Police Service Commission (PSC) on 24th January 2024, on the Inspector-General of Police’s recommendation.

CSP Mu’awuya Abdullahi and the other 6 Officers who were promoted and decorated as Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) are;

ii. Lateef Alabi

iii. Abdulkarim Abdullahi

iv. Mannir Madugu

v. Kabiru Haruna Fagge

vi. Shehu Usman Ubangari

vii. Musa Mohammed

In his remark, CP Gumel said: “Today is one of the happiest days in the history of this Police Command as we are blessed with the promotion of fifteen senior Police Officers.

The CP charged the newly promoted Officers not to be reluctant, but to redouble efforts in discharging their duties as promotion comes with more responsibilities.

“I also want to thank the families of the officers for their resilience, support, and prayers for our colleagues to reach this level. This has reinforced the saying that behind every successful man, there must be a successful woman.”

He charged the promoted Officers to be resolute and redouble their efforts as higher rank comes with more responsibilities.

CP Gumel congratulated the officers, their families, and the Kano State Police Command.

In his vote of thanks on behalf of the newly promoted and decorated Officers, ACP Mu’awuyya Abdullahi on behalf of his colleagues said: “As we enter into a new chapter in our career, we are aware of the profound challenges stretched out before us, especially in a country where the prosperity of all security agencies are now inextricable linked.

“We are going to be committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism in the discharge of our duties.

ACP Mu’awuaya then thanked IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun and the Police Service Commission for finding them worthy of the promotion.

He also registered appreciation to CP Gumel for his outstanding leadership.
