The Kebbi State Head of the Civil Service (HoS), Sufiyanu Garba Bena, has warmly received and welcomed a team by the National Primary Health Care Agency led by the Executive Director, Dr. Muyi Aina to the state
A statement late Wednesday by Murtala M. Gotomo, the press secretary to the deputy governor said the team comprising the World Health Organization’s Country representative, Dr. Walter Kazadi Mulombo, UNICEF Country Representative, Mrs Christian Munduate, and representatives of the BMGF, Dr. Andrew Stein and Dr. Samuel Okiror was in the state for an advocacy visit on the State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu.
According to Gotomo, the purpose of the visit was to discuss critical issues related to primary health care in general, immunization, and polio eradication aimed at improving universal health coverage in the state.
Other State Government delegations who welcome the team include the Commissioner of Health, Hon. Yunusa Ismail, Special Adviser on Health, Dr. Aminu Haliru Bunza, Special Adviser on International Donor Agencies, Dr. Usman Buhari Ali Gwandu, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, and Dr. Nuhu Shehu Koko among others.
