Kazaure Emirate Distributes Zakkat to Over 10,000 Needy

The Emir of Kazaure Dr. Najib Hussaini Adamu through the Emirate Zakkat Committee has distributed  Zakkat of Cash and Grains worth over N60 million to over 10,000 needy.

This was contained in a statement issued at the end of the distribution exercise, signed by the Chairman Zakkat Committee Alhaji Bala Muhammad.

Alhaji Bala explained that the distribution exercise was held in 10 district areas of the Emirate after enumerating the list of beneficiaries.

He noted that the beneficiaries include the needy, households, widows, orphans, mentally retardate people, disabled persons, and other vulnerable groups.

“Also among the beneficiaries included those who need a token amount of money to start or back to their piety business which has been their source of livelihood over the years and those who can’t afford to settle their medical bills.”

The chairman maintained that the Zakkat was collected from the farmers and wealthy people in the Emirate and distributed according to the laid down rules in the holy Quran.

Alhaji Bala also stated that the Zakkat is one of the Islamic rules established for poverty eradication, Humanitarian intervention, and economic development of the society.

“On behalf of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Kazaure Dr Najif Hussain Adamu, we appreciate all those who brought their Zakkat and contributed to the successful distribution exercised.

“We are also calling on other well-to-do people to channel their Zakkat through this committee which has structure down to the grassroots for giving it to the appropriate people in an organized manner,” the Chairman stated.
