Police Arrest 3 Suspected Kidnappers, 10 Armed Robbers in Jigawa

Jigawa State Police Command says it has successfully arrested 3 suspected kidnappers.

The three suspected Kidnappers were arrested in connection to the abduction of a businessman in Kwaimawa village of Dutse Local Government Area.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi revealed this during his maiden press briefing since assuming office in the early days of November.

CP Tijjani said within the shortest period he spent in the office, the Command has equally succeeded in arresting 10 suspected armed robbers, 25 thieves, vandals and two suspected human traffickers.

“Other suspected criminals arrested included 3 suspected motor vehicle thieves, 7 motorcycle thieves, and 10 suspected arms manufacturers.

“In the cause of the arrest, the command has recovered 3 locally manufactured arms, 32 cows 5 Sheep, 4 Motor Vehicles, 6 Motorcycle, 9 GSM, and ₦3,650,000 among other exhibits.”

The new CP reiterated his commitment to strengthen synergy with sister security agencies, political/community leaders, and the public to improve security, law, and order in the state.

He noted that in doing their job, the Command will mobilize all its men, adopt professionalism, partnership, intelligence, community policing, and Knowledge for effective crime control, Civil disorder, and maintaining peace and stability in Jigawa state.

The CP then commended the state government for its kind support to the Police and also solicited more support from pressmen in public enlightenment on the role everyone is expected to play in making Jigawa state the safest place for all.
