Sultan Congratulates 95 Graduands of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation in Sokoto

Sultan of Sokoto and President General Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Nigeria, his eminence Dr Muhammad Sa’ad Abubkar III has congratulated graduands of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation who completed the recitation and memorization of the Holy Qur’an in Sokoto.

The Sultan congratulated the graduands while addressing the gathering of pupils Graduates and followers of the Tijjaniyya sect at Walimatul Qur’an Graduation ceremony of the Foundation was held Saturday at the International Conference Center Kasarawa Sokoto.

The foundation was established in Sokoto in the year 2007 and is one of the 560 foundations set up by the Sheikh across the country as part of his contribution to training young leaders on recitation and memorization of the holy Qur’an.

“We congratulate our Graduands today and always for successful completion of the recitation of the Holy Quran, as Part of our efforts to train our future leaders in moral and academic”. Sultan stated.

“We have imbibed the Quranic knowledge in our students which we believe they will go out there and make good use of it and make us proud.

“It’s inspiring. Parents may not pass through the stress of employing extra Islamic scholars for their children at home”. May Almighty Allah bless the knowledge of the graduands and also uplift the foundation to a higher level Amin.

“I am happy to see that the spirit for the learning and teaching of the Holy Qur’an has not diminished in any way but growing strong day and night,” the Sultan said.

The foundation has so far graduated over 500 reciters and memorizers of the Holy Qur’an since its establishment in 2007.

Speaker after speaker at the event calls for the establishment of more foundations and Qur’anic schools by wealthy Individuals and groups among Muslim Ummah across the country.

The Guest of honour at the event and former Governor of Zamfara state Senator Abdul’azeez Yari who was represented at the occasion donated 4 Motorcycle to tutors of the foundation.

Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko Sarkin Yamman Sokoto also donated 250,000 to the graduands and Yahaya Buhari Siriddawa donated 100,000 naira to the successful graduates.

The ceremony was witnessed by many higher-level Personalities of Tijjaniyya sects across the country including the foremost son of the foundation initiator Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
