559 Jigawa Pilgrims Depart to Saudi Arabia

The first batch of 559 Jigawa Pilgrims on Wednesday Departed Dutse International Airport to Saudi Arabia for the 2023 Hajji exercise.

Addressing the Pilgrims before their departure, the state Governor Malam Umar Namadi urged the Pilgrims to pray for Jigawa state and Nigeria when performing their Hajj in the holy land.

He reminded the intending Pilgrims to use the training given to them by Hajj officials and also adhere to the rules and regulations governing the exercise and that of the Saudi Arabian government.

Governor Namadi, also called on the Pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state during their stay in holy land.

In his speech at the Airport the Executive Secretary of the state Pilgrims welfare board, Alhaji Umar Labbo assured the Pilgrims that the board will continue to stand by them to ensure they succeed in conducting successful haj ( Hajj Mabrur).

Labbo added that the board had made an adequate and good arrangement for the Pilgrim’s transportation, accommodation, feeding, and other logistics for a hitch-free Hajji Exercise.

“For this year’s Hajji exercise we have a total of 2,627 intending Pilgrims and we have secured their visa, also we have remitted N4 billion to National Hajji Commission as their fare”.

“As we commence the airlifting our Pilgrims today, the airline has assured us that they will complete the airlifting as scheduled by God’s grace,” Labbo stated
