The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Dr. Nasiru Idris of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the 2023 governorship election in Kebbi State.
The state returning officer, Professor Yusuf Saidu said the APC candidate scored 409,225 votes to win the election while Gen Aminu Bande (rtd.) of PDP scored 360,940 votes.
“Haven satisfied the law, Nasiru Idris is hereby declared the winner, and return elected,” Prof. Saidu declared.
He then thanked INEC, Observes, Media, and security agencies for the successful conduct of the exercise and political parties for their understanding and support of the peaceful conduct of the electioneering process.
