The International Medical Corps has renovated Gidan Ruwa Kaura Gine Health Post and donated medical equipment to Gidan Ruwa Kaura Goje Health Post in Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
In their separate remarks the International Medical Corps Program Director, Dr. Joseph Ogani, and the State Project Coordinator, Dr. Emmanuel Anyawu said the gesture was aimed at increasing access to quality health services by improving the infrastructure of health posts as well as providing assistance to the community as part of the effort toward the upliftment of Health in the area.
They commended the state government as well as the community of Gidan Ruwa Kaura Goje for their support and cooperation in making the project a success.
The Executive Secretary of Kano State Primary Health Management Board, Dr. Tijjani Hussaini in his speech expressed delight for the project conducted by the Organization and assured that doors will be open for all NGOs in the state to partner with the State Government in providing projects that will better the lives of the people.
Dr. Hussaini then urged people in the area to make judicious use of the items, especially in the maintenance of the health post.
The items donated consisted of sanitary and other medical equipment worth thousands of Naira.
