Emir of Kano, HRH, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has described the Central Bank of Nigeria’s E-Naira policy as a step forward in restricting naira note circulation.
The Emir made the assertion while welcoming the Director of the Apex Bank in charge of the Kano branch who paid him a courtesy call at his palace.
He maintained that the E-Naira policy will go a long way in minimizing unnecessary spending as well as mutilating or squeezing the naira note in the country.
The Royal father added that the process will also improve commercial activities and banking transactions hence the need for the CBN to address network problems being encountered in that direction.
Emir Bayero reiterated the traditional institution’s readiness to support any move that will pave the way to improving the socio-economic well-being of the citizenry.
Earlier, the state Director of the Bank, Alhaji Muhammad Hamisu Musa said they were at the Palace in order to intimate the monarch of the measures put in place to educate the larger public on the advantages attached to the policy and the need to accord their support and cooperation as his word Rome was not built in a day.
