The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) as the winner of the Kano Governorship Election with 1, 019, 602 votes.
Declaring Abba Gida Gida winner, the returning officer of the governorship poll, Professor Ahmed Doko Ibrahim Yusuf said the NNPP candidate defeated his closest rival of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna who polled 890,705.
As of the time of filling this report, NNPP supporters across the state are jubilating over the outcome of the just concluded governorship election.
