The Kano Civil Society Forum (KCSF) has established a 7-man committee to investigate the alleged circumstances surrounding the death of a pregnant woman attributed to the negligence of some medical personnel at the Abdullahi Muhammad Wase hospital in Kano.
A statement on Sunday jointly signed by the President, Amb. Ibrahim Waiya and the spokesperson Comrade (Dr) M. K.Adam said the attention of the Forum has been drawn to an incident regarding one pregnant woman who lost her life at Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Hospital.
According to the statement, the ill-fated death was attributed to the alleged negligence of some medical personnel of the hospital, who was said to have refused to attend to the deceased, when she was in dire need of medical attention.
“The multiple complaints and calls from different quarters and responsible citizens within and outside Kano were so enormous to be ignored.
“It is therefore against this backdrop, the leadership of the Kano Civil Society Forum, approved the establishment of a 7-man committee, to investigate the alleged circumstances surrounding the death of the late Hajiya Shema’u Sami Labaran and advise accordingly,” the statement added.

2. Comrade A. A. Haruna Ayagi
3. Hassan Ibrahim Gama
4. Mallam Salisu Yusuf
5. Hajiya Ramatu Garba
6. Hajiya Mariya Alikote
6. Dr. Abdulrahman Hudu – To serve as Committee Secretary
The statement said the Committee has 3 weeks to submit its report.
