KSHoA Passes LG Revenue Administration Amendment Bill 2022 into Law

The Kano State House of Assembly (KSHoA) has passed into law the Local Government Revenue Administration (Codification and Consolidation) Amendment 2022 into law.

The bill was passed into law after it was considered in the Committee on Wednesday during a plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Rt, Hon. Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari, after the Clerk and Head of Legislative Service, Alhaji Garba Bako Gezawa gave the third reading and subsequently, the House passed the bill into law.

Likewise, the House has affirmed the appointment of Adamu Shua’aibu Nagadango and Sule Ibrahim Sumaila as Local Government Secretaries of Kunchi and Sumaila Local Government Areas respectively.

This ALSO followed the adoption of the recommendation and the report of the House Standing Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs which was read before the floor of the House by the Chairman of the Committee, Hon Nasir Abdullahi Dutsen Amare.

Similarly, the House has also adopted the recommendation and report of the House standing committee on the State Universal Basic Education Board in respect of the screening and confirmation of Baba Hamidu Yalwa and Bello Abdullahi as Education Secretaries of Dala and Bebeji LGA’s Education Authorities respectively.

The House adjourned sitting to 20th March 2023 after a motion for adjournment was moved by the Majority Leader, Hon. Labaran Abdul Madari was seconded by Hon. Nuhu Abdullahi Achika, member representing Wudil Constituency.
