The Northern Young Professionals for Tinubu (NYPT) have mobilized women to rally for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and other APC candidates in Kebbi state.
Addressing women at the rally, the national coordinator of NYPT, Alhaji Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai said the group was in kebbi State to Commission its newly aqua ired office and also to canvass women to vote massively for Tinubu/Shetima come February 25 presidential election.
He said women are a major player in the election of Nigeria, and those they support always win in the elections.
“We know women are very committed in anything they set their minds to do. We came to kebbi to solicit their support for our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We want the women to know that Tinubu is the only candidate with the capacity and experience to move Nigeria forward. He has demonstrated this in Lagos and he will do it again if elected as president”, Yakasai said.
He enjoined the women to take advantage of the extension for the collection of PVC by INEC to collect their PVCs. “I enjoin you to go and collect your PVCs. It’s the only way you can vote for APC and the only way your support for our candidate can give him victory in the presidential election”, he added.
In her address, as the guest of honor, Hajiya Aisha Bagudu wife of the Kebbi state governor said she was happy with the large turnout of women in support of the APC presidential and governorship candidates in the state. She added that it was a clear declaration of their commitment in the state to vote for APC in the coming general elections.
She, therefore, urged women to come out on Election Day and vote massively for APC candidates from top to bottom come February 25.
