Kano State House of Assembly (SHoA) has called for the Commissioner nominee in the person of Alhaji Muhd Nazifi Bichi to appear before the floor of the House for screening and confirmation for appointment as a member of the State Executive Council.
The call was made by the House during a plenary session today presided over by the Speaker, Rt Hon Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari after reading a letter transmitted to the House by the Executive Governor requesting the House for screening and confirmation the nominee for the said appointment.
The nominee is expected to appear tomorrow, 31st January 2023 by ten in the morning
Equally, the House has received a letter from the State Universal Basic Education SUBEB requesting the House for screening and confirmation for the appointment of Baba Hamidu Yalwa as Education Secretary from Dala local government and Bello Abdullahi as Education Secretary from Bebeji local government area
The letter was committed to the House Committee on SUBEB for further Legislative actions and was expected to report back to the floor of the House on Wednesday 1st February 2023.
Similarly, the Pension and Gratuity Amendment law, the House of Assembly Service Commission Amendment law, and the Kano State Traffic Law have received second reading on the floor of the House today.
The House adjourned sitting to tomorrow Tuesday,31st January 2023 in a motion moved by the Majority Leader Hon Labaran Abdul Madari Member representing Warawa Constituency and was seconded by the Hon Ali Ibrahim Isa Shanono, member representing Bagwai/Shanono Constituency
