The Kebbi State All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris, and the DG Campaign Council, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, former Governor of Kebbi State have reinstated call for people of the state to vote for the party candidates in the 2023 general elections.
The duo made the appeal at the party’s campaign rally in Kamba, headquarters of Dandi Local Government Area while addressing a crowd of supporters.
The campaign which went through the night, saw APC supporters including women patiently listening to various speakers as they mount the podium.
Dr. Nasir Idris thanked APC supporters for their patience and support to wait for the campaign team even through the night.
“I am happy with your reception to receive us, this is an indication that Kamba is for APC,” he said.
He called on the entire people of the area to come out en mass to vote for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all APC candidates during the general elections.
According to him, eighty percent of people with integrity in Kebbi State are members of APC.
He promised to do his best to serve the people and lauded the efforts of Governor Atiku Bagudu and the former Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari in recording significant development in various sectors of the state.
The DG Campaign Council, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari in his remarks, restated the need for the people of Kamba to remain loyal and support the candidature of Dr. Nasir Idris, as their next governor.
He enumerated a number of projects carried out by the government to improve the area economically, particularly road construction.
Dakingari assured them that if elected as the next governor of the state, Idris would consolidate on the gains recorded by previous administrations and improve upon them to continue to make Kamba a commercial hub in Kebbi State.
He said APC would continue to be a dominant party in Kebbi State.
Speakers at the occasion include APC Senatorial candidate, Kebbi North, retired Comptroller of Customs, Federal Operations, Dr. Hussaini Suleiman Kangiwa, Hon Nura Usman Kangiwa, the APC candidate vying for the State House of Assembly seat in the area, and the former Deputy Comptroller General of Customs, Abubakar Gari Malan (Shatiman Gwandu).
Others include Alhaji Bello Dantani Magajin Rafin Kabi former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Sani Hukuma Zauro, Chairman of APC Elders Forum, and Alhaji Mansur Shehu, Mamser among others.
They stressed the need for people to support all APC candidates by voting for them in the 2023 general elections in order to ensure the continuity of people-oriented projects across the State.
At the occasion, Hajiya Hadiza, a grassroots mobilizer in Dandi LGA and member of PDP with her teaming members decamped from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to APC.
The State party Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Kana Zuru while receiving the decamped members assured them of equal treatment in APC and directed the party executives at the ward and local government level to work with them.
Earlier, the APC campaign train made a stopover at the palace of Sarkin Shikon Kamba, Alhaji Muhammadu Zarumai to meet with District Heads and other traditional rulers to seek their fatherly blessings
