Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje appointed Yusuf Datti Husaini as a Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairssame after being impressed by his credentials, and selfless and patriotic service to the state.
Abba Anwar, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ganduje in a statement on Thursday said after his swearing-in at the Council Chamber, Thursday, which was superintended by the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister MA Lawan, Ganduje directed him to always be ready to accept technological developments in the public service in compliance to the global best practice.
“Looking at your pedigree, it shows you are competent and deserve the new position in the state civil service. While you are an upright civil servant we are expecting you to keep a good track record of your years of experience,” he said.
According to the statement, Ganduje directed the new permanent secretary to work hard and work harmoniously with all his staff in the Ministry. Assuring that, teamwork is always needed in the discharge of public responsibilities.
The Swearing-in ceremony was witnessed by the Deputy Governor and gubernatorial candidate Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, with his running mate Murtala Sule Garo, Commissioners, and a large troop of relatives and well-wishers of the new appointee.
