The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will commence the distribution of Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) on the 12th of December 2022.
This was disclosed by the Head of the Department, of Voters Education, Publicity, Gender and Inclusivity Department, Mal. Adam Ahmad Maulud in an interactive meeting on Monday held with Heads of Media Organizations (HMOs) in Kano.
The event was organized by the Kano Peace Committee to promote peaceful conduct of the electioneering campaigns and to sensitize residents on the 2023 general elections.
Maulud said: “All outstanding PVCs of those who registered between January 2022 to July 2022 will be ready for collection from 12th of December 2022 to 22 of January 2022, adding that the PVC has no expiry date and is valid for all elections in Nigeria.”
He called on HMOs to sensitize members of the public that have not collected their PVCs to go to INEC’s office in the 44 Local Government Areas.
“The PVCs are ready for collection from 9 am to 3 pm, Sundays to Saturdays across the 44 local government offices of INEC in the state,” he said.
