The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday says it will arrest the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kano Central candidate, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkarim over an alleged $1,320,000 fraud.

The Commission’s lawyer, Ahmed Arogha Esq told journalists at the premises of the Federal High Court in Kano that the Anti-graft Agency is “looking for him.”

Barrister Arogha who spoke shortly after the court failed to sit over the absence of the presiding Judge declared that the Commission would “arrest him wherever he is,”

Barr. Arogha said:  “Anytime, and anywhere we see him, we will arrest him.”

The development followed Zaura’s bid to stop the court from trying him and suffered a setback.

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has also directed the APC Kano central senatorial candidate to appear before the Federal High Court Kano to face the criminal charges against him by the EFCC.

Zaura was accused by the Commission of defrauding a Kuwaiti citizen by obtaining the sum of $1,320,000 (One Million Three Hundred and Twenty Thousand Dollars) under the pretext that he posed as Estate Agent that specialized in building in Dubai, Kuwait, and other Arab countries.
