No few than 25 Students of the Civil Engineering Department of Bayero University, Kano benefited from the exclusive study tour program on rail construction.
The Students were taken to major locations and exposed to various stages of rail engineering and management as one of the leading transportation subsectors of the economy.
The Regional Manager, Corporate Affairs of the China Civil Engineering and Construction Company (CCECC) Mr. Yunusa Hamza said the students were accorded this opportunity to expand their scope in rail engineering.
He said the company as part of its corporate social responsibility, is providing technical assistance and mentorship to students engineers to acquire practical knowledge in various aspects of the construction industry to enhance the availability of manpower for the sector.
In her response after the study tour program, Aisha Ummi who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries said it was a rare opportunity for them to have learned the practical skills of the railway after being taught in the classroom at the University.
She also appreciated the management of the CCECC and prays that the company extends the noble gesture to their successors next year.
