The gubernatorial candidate of the People Redemption Party (PRP) Kano State, Alhaji Salihu Tanko Yakasai has unveiled his manifesto for bringing back the state to the path of comprehensive, egalitarian, and sustainable development.

Speaking at the unavailing of the manifesto held at Event Center Hadejia Road Kano, Salihu Yakasai promised if elected in 2023 to work with all partners for the implementation of the manifesto which has a clear mission, and vision and also designed in accordance with PRP philosophy.

He stated that, according to the manifesto, PRP will fight environmental degradation, by encouraging the use of clean energy, improving water supply, hygiene, and sanitation, and using modern technology for industrial and domestic waste management for a healthy society.

“To tackle security challenges and make Kano a safe haven for its habitants, we will strengthen our conventional and traditional security system with the provision of modern technology, and allowances to conventional security agencies, while training, infrastructure, and budgetary allocation will be increased to traditional institutes.

“We will reposition public service for effective public service delivery through training and retraining of staffs, timely payment of salary, pension, and other entitlement, rewards and punishment and also integrated government activities with E-Governance.”

Yakasai, however, stated that the blueprint also contained a comprehensive plan for educational, economic, social, and moral development that will make Kano the most prosperous safe, and happiest state in Africa.

“It is in the annals of history that, the PRP government in Kano and Kaduna had in less than 4 years liberated Talakaw from the chain of oppress and alienation, elevated them to freedom and humanity with the dividend of democracy at every city, town, village and house,  and if elected I will continue from where they stop” Yakasai declared.

Commenting on the manifesto, the PRP candidate for Kura/Garunmalam state assembly constituency, Alhaji Muhammad Zangina described the occasion as a clear manifestation that PRP is a party built upon philosophy and manifesto.

He said, unlike other political parties in Nigeria that were built and run around personality, PRP is a party that is encouraging all-inclusive participation in politics and governance for achieving sustainable democracy, social justice, freedom, peace, and sustainable development.

About 20 PRP gubernatorial candidates and other candidates vying for different political positions under the party and thousands of members were in attendance at the unavailing of the manifesto.
