The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has fixed 24th October 2022 to hold its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Kebbi State.
In a press statement signed by the Publicity Committee Chairman, Tasau Lawal and made available to Newsmen in Birnin Kebbi said the meeting will bring sanity to the challenges being faced by Civil Servants and other industrial unions across the country.
He added that the arrival day will be on the 22nd, and 23th, of October 2022 while the opening ceremony will take place on Monday 24th, October 2022 at the Safar Guests Birnin Kebbi.
The statement indicated that all the NLC-affiliated Presidents of the Unions from the 36 States of the Federation, union leaders, and other stakeholders are expected to be in the meeting.
According to the statement, many important issues will be discussed especially the one that involves the economy of the country as well as the issue of civil servants and industrial strikes that has always caused a dilemma in many sectors will be addressed in order to avert any future occurrence in the country.
The statement appealed to the people of Kebbi State, and civil servants to support the meeting and ensure that the meeting was successful as this is the first of its kind that the NEC meeting will be held in the state.
