Emir of Karaye Weds Sultan of Sokoto’s Daughter, Gimbiya Hadiza

The wedding ceremony of the Emir of Karaye, HRH Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar, and the daughter of the Sultan of Sokoto, Gimbiya Hadiza Hassan was held on Saturday at the residence of Wazirin Sokoto, Professor Sambo Janaidu.

The Emir Abubakar paid (N50,000) fifty thousand Naira as a dowry to Gimbiya Hadiza and Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje stands in as Wali of the groom while the Waziri Sokoto represented the Wali of bride Gimbiya Hadiza Hassan.

The wedding Fatiha prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Sultan Bello Mosque, Sheik Malami Muhammad.

Among the dignitaries who attended the wedding Fatiha include the Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, Senator Barau Jibrin, former Deputy Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Tijjani Muhammad Gwarzo,

Others are APC Caucus Chairman, Alhaji Nasiru Aliko Koki, Special Adviser to the governor on Chieftaincy Affairs, and the District Heads from Karaye, Gaya, Bichi, and the Rano Emirates among others.
