I’m Committed to Agricultural Development – Bagudu

Kebbi State Government has said that his administration will continue to provide more Infrastructure most especially on linkage roads in order to boost the agriculture economy of the state.

This was disclosed on Tuesday at the one-day workshop organized by the Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with the Kebbi State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Projects which was held at Waziri Umar Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi.

Delivering his keynote address, the Permanent Secretary Ministry for Agriculture Mr. Joel Aiki who was represented by the Director of Produce, Alhaji Adamu Arugungu Dakawo said that the aim of the workshop is to provide more access to roads in the rural areas.

He added that the state government is committed to agriculture activities and for him to achieve this objective is to give provision to the roads network and ensure the full implementation of the program.

The title of this program is ‘Roads Sectors Reformed’ and the moment this project takes off fully it will boost the economy of the state’ he added.

Speaking early, the State Coordinator of Kebbi State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Projects, Alhaji Idris Abdulrahman was represented by the Director Eng. Bello B. Mohammed commended the efforts of the Kebbi State Governor for making the projects a reality.

He added that the projects were aimed to bring sanity to the economy of the state most especially in Agricultural aspects.

He explained further that the RAAMP will work together with the Local Governments Council chairmen in order to achieve the aims and objectives of the establishment Law.

Responding, the Chairman of the Association of Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria Kebbi State Chapter (ALGON) Alhaji Aminu Ahmed assured the projects officer that all Local Government Chairmen are ready to support the full implementation of the program for development.

“You see let me tell you that we are ready to provide and contributed our quota as the Local Government Chairmen, this project is going to benefit everyone most especially the farmers after their cultivation of farms products or crops” he added.
