Jigawa State has emerged as the best-performing state in COVID-19 vaccination in the northwest zone of the country.
A statement on Tuesday by the Special Adviser, Media and Public Relations to Governor Badaru, Habibu Nuhu Kila said the information was contained in a congratulatory letter sent to the State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar from the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and signed by the Executive Secretary of the Agency Dr. Faisal Shuaib.
According to the letter, the agency acknowledged the commitment and support of the Jigawa state government under the administration of Governor Badaru towards improving the performance of Routine Immunization and other primary health care services in the state.
In appreciation for the outstanding performance of the Jigawa state in the provision of primary healthcare, the agency will present Immunization Performance Recognition Award to the state in Abuja.
