The Kebbi State All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship candidate Dr. Nasiru Idris Kaura Gwandu has tasked clerics in the country to embark on sensitizing their followers on the need to be prayerful for the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

He gave the task on Saturday at the graduation and launching of the 2nd edition of St Dominic school blazer knight magazine which was held in Birnin Kebbi.

“Religious Leaders have a lot to do by preaching unity, love, and Harmony among each other,” he added.

Kaura who was represented by its aids Comrade Sagiru Haliru, congratulated the management of the school for promoting education and improving the learning system.

“Am a trained teacher and I will continue to support the education in the state, if elected as the Governor of the state, my first priority will be to put more development in education” he said.

Speaking earlier, the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah also called on Nigerians to embark on fervent prayer as the country is moving to a high level of insecurities and also the 2023 election is at the corner.

He stated further that the only remedy to curb the cases of insecurities in Nigeria is to allow and educate everyone to embark on prayer which involves both Muslims and Christians.

“Election is at the corner, we need to pray for the success of the election, let us eschew any of our difference and work for one unified country, we don’t have any country like Nigeria, and we are all one.”

He equally commended the management of the school for their commitment to promoting education in the state, we are proud of you, and please keep on with the good work you people are doing.
