SSCOE Reopens After Months of Inactivity

The Governing council of Shehu Shagari college of education, Sokoto has directed the commencement of activities at the institution after three months of closure as a result of students unrest.

The Institution’s Governing Council at its 79th meeting held Thursday approved the reopening of the college on Monday the 8th of August, 2022.

This is contained in a statement signed and made available to journalists in Sokoto by the Registrar of the college Malam Gandi Muhammad Asara.

The statement further requested all students of both NCE and Degree programs to report to the college to sign undertaking of being of good character between Monday 8th to Thursday the 11th of August, 2022.

It could be recalled that Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto was closed in May this year as a result of students unrest that led to the killing of a female student late Deborah Emanuel who was accused if blasphemy.
