The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Alhaji Bamaiyi Bage along with over 200 of the party supporters in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area in Zuru Emirate of Kebbi State have defected to the All-Progressive Congress (APC).
Receiving the decampees on Sunday at Zuru, in solidarity support of APC Governorship candidate, the Kebbi State APC Chieftain and former Buhari/Atiku campaign organization, Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant urge the all-new members to join hands together and move the party to the greater high in winning the 2023 general elections in the state.
He explained further that the decampees have made the right decision by joining the ruling party, promising them equal treatment as the party will safeguard all their aspiration.
“You see let me tell you that PDP is not the party that can bring changes considering the party their structure, some of them are there for their selfish interest,” he added.
He then appealed to the others who are willing to join the APC to ease their minds as the doors are wide open, and work with him to implement good policies and programs that will move the democracy and State forward.
Responding, the former Kebbi State Command NDLEA boss and former PDP Chieftain, Alhaji Bamaiyi Bage expressed happiness for joining APC adding that he didn’t regret leaving PDP.
“Am gland and happy to be part of Kaura Gwandu campaign as my new party (APC) I don’t want to belong to a political party that has no direction in the state” he said.
“I equally promised you that am going to mobilize millions of votes and supporters from Zuru Emirate for APC to win the forthcoming general election in the state and Nigeria at large.”
