Kano – Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, felicitates Muslims on Eid Al Adha 2022 celebrations.

Eid Al Adha is the second most important festival celebrated by the Islamic community where Muslims care for the needy.

The NUJ Kano Council in a signed statement, Saturday, jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim, and Abba Murtala emphasized the need for all Muslims to use the period for sober reflection and be their brother’s keepers.

According to the statement, as the 2023 election draws closer, the Union urged politicians and other stakeholders to ensure a process devoid of chaos and confusion as witnessed in the past.

The Union enjoined eligible voters to take advantage of the extension of Contentious Voter Registration by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to enable them to elect credible leaders.

It also called on the media to exercise caution in handling sensitive issues aimed at ensuring a virile and stable society.

While praying for Allah’s intervention on the lingering insecurity and other vices the NUJ Kano Council wishes Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Five Emirs of Kano, and the entire people pleasant Eid Al Adha celebrations.
