The Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board, KSPHCMB, has commenced a 4 -day human resource training for health stakeholders’ engagement on healthcare workers’ redeployment strategy in selected Minimum Service Package, MSP, health facilities.

In his remarks, while declaring the session open, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Tijjani Hussaini stated that a facility readiness assessment was conducted last year in the process of making at least 1 functional Primary Health Care center to provide a 24 hours services in each ward.

He further stated that implementation cannot be done unilaterally, without the input from the Zonal to local government level, hence the involvement of the Zonal Directors, and Primary Health Care Coordinators of the affected local government areas of the health facilities.

He enjoined all the participants to do their best in making sure the gaps are filled so that facilities can operate 24-hour services as soon as possible.

During the engagement session, many issues were identified, from infrastructure, human resources, and a few services being offered at the Selected facilities.
