Bagudu Clinches Kebbi Central Senatorial Seat, as Adamu Aleiro Withdraws from Race

Governor Abubakar Atiku​ Bagudu​ has won the Kebbi central senatorial ticket as the incumbent​ Adamu Aleiro Withdraw from the race a few hours before the primary election.

Atiku Bagudu who is the Incumbent​ Governor of Kebbi scored 445 votes.

The returning​ officer and chairman of the​ committee,​ Hon. Kelechi Njoku​ announced that a total of 445 delegates cutting across the eight​ local government areas were accredited for voting and all of them voted for Atiku Bagudu.

In his acceptance speech, Bagudu thanked​ all the delegates and urged them to go back and​ play their role to mobilize more people to the party and ensure that all the aggrieved are reconciled.

He equally​ thanked the security agencies, the media, and all the stakeholders during and after the primary election.

Similarly, Hon.​ Husaini Sulaiman Kangiwa​ emerged as Kebbi​ North senatorial candidate unopposed as barely a few hours before the election, his opponent, the​ formal​ Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji​ Saidu Nasamu​ Dakingari withdrew from the contest.
