Jigawa Trains Over 130 facilitators for 2022 Hajji Exercise

Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has trained135 facilitators who will train the 2022 pilgrims from across 27 local government areas of the state.

The Acting Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Mustapha Umar revealed this while briefing newsmen on their preparation for the 2022/Hajji exercise.

He explained that five facilitators comprising three males and two females were selected from each of the 27 local government areas who would in turn train intending pilgrims at designated centers across the state.

“The facilitators are to train prospective pilgrims on obligations, tenets and cardinal principles of Hajj as contained in Qur”an and Sunna.

“The board has set up a committee that will supervise the exercise in order to ensure that each prospective pilgrim participates in the exercise,” Umar said.

He maintained that proper education of the intending pilgrims will prepare them to conduct the Hajj in accordance with the teachings of Islam and be good ambassadors of the country.

According to him, competent resource persons were engaged to train the facilitators.
