The management of the Royal Football Club also known as the Ado Bayero team has decided to withdraw from the ongoing Nigeria Nationwide league 2021/2022 season due to bad officiating by officials handling the league.
This was disclosed in a letter signed by the Secretary-General, Ramcy Fc Kano (Ado Bayero Team) Ahmad Abubakar copying all stakeholders and made available to Stallion Times on Thursday.
The letter read;
WITHDRAWAL FROM NIGERIAN NATION WIDE LEAGUE ONE 2021/2022 SEASON
Sequel to the above subject matter, the management of the Royal Team known as Ado Bayero Team after due consultation with our Grand Patron the Emir of Kano His Highness Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, and his brother the Emir of Bichi His Highness Alh Nasiru Ado Bayero and all other patrons decided to withdraw from the ongoing Nigeria Nationwide league 2021/2022 season due to bad Officiating.
Matters arising from the current 2021/2022 NLO season
The NLO 2021/2022 season commenced on March 16th, 2022 with a lot of excitement from all of us after the 2020/2021 season was observed a lot of a myriad of issues connected to poor officiating by Referees appointed to officiate most of the matches.
It is however sad to note that even in the current 2021/2022 NLO season the desire to have good officiating from Referees appointed so far is far from reality as we noticed that the current season is so far worse than the previous one.
It is imperative to state that we observed with dismay that the current NLO season has not improved as Referees continue to officiate with impunity rendering our hard-earned resources useless.
Some of our concerns include but are not limited to the following:
Improper draws for the 2021/2022 NLO season
Although the Secretariat is doing its best in improving the standard of the league, Contrary to the internationally accepted standard and best practices in conducting draws which are to conduct draws in an open and transparent manner involving all stakeholders, the 2021/2022 draws were conducted by the Secretariat in secrecy.
This action of the secretariat shows a compromise in the procedure and that has played out in the current league.
Unprecedented poor officiating in 2021/2022
We have observed that clubs escape suffering from this unprecedented bad officiating by the Referees in the current NLO season. This has brought the integrity of the league into disrepute and made all the effort put in place by the Secretariat in vain.
We also observed that the referee’s appointment appears to be defective. We are ready to offer more explanations to further buttress our observations with actual happenings in the field of play.
It is in view of the foregoing reasons that after consulting our patrons, the management of Ramcy Fc Kano (Ado Bayero Team) has unanimously agreed to pull out of the 2021/2022 league with immediate effect.
We most appreciate our amiable Chairman Muhammad Alkali and our CEO Mr. Shola Ogunnowo, Mr. Bright, and the Secretariat in general for their tireless efforts in doing their best.
