Kano Pillars football club trashed Gombe United football Fc by 3-1 on matchday 19 in the ongoing 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League Season at Muhammad Dikko Stadium Katsina.
Kano Pillars giant striker Ifeanyi Kelvin Eze with a brace at ten and thirty-nine minutes of play while Gombe United Fc reduced the tally at forty-four minutes of play and the first half ended 2-1 in favour of the homers.
After the resumption of the second half, both sides struggled to see the back of the net up to the eighty-eight minutes of play when legend Rabi’u Ali scored the third goal for Kano Pillars with a clinical shot outside the box.
In his post-match conference, Kano Pillars Chief Coach Ibrahim A. Musa thanked God for the victory and commended his players for a job well done.
Coach Musa apologized to their teeming fans for the situation of the team this season so far and assured them that they would see new kano Pillars Fc in the second stanza.
He said over ten players would be put in transfer in this mid-season break and about five to seven quality new players would be injected into the team in order to revive the glory of the team.
Our target at the end of the season is to get the continental ticket and by God’s grace it will be achievable, Coach Ibrahim said.
He said they are going to do the humanly possible to correct some mistakes they did in the player’s recruitment from the beginning of the season and urged their fans to be patients and continue praying to the team.
Kano Pillars football club striker Ifeanyi Kelvin Eze who was voted as man of the match dedicated the victory to players, technical crew, management, and entire fans of the club.
Ifeanyi who scored two goals in the encounter pledged that he would score more goals in the second stanza of the season in order to see Pillars Fc end the season in a good position.
