Kano Pillars football club held to goalless draw by Remo Stars football club in its adopted home ground Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna in matchday ten in the ongoing 2021/2022 Npfl Season.
Both sides tried their best to see back of the net in the ninety minutes of play but all efforts prove abortive.
In his post-match conference, the technical adviser of Kano Pillars football club, Salisu Yusuf described the match as a top game which he said both sides played well in the encounter despite that his players got a lot of chances but they failed to convert them.
Coach Salisu Yusuf said: “Today is not Kano Pillars football club day because the boys played very well,” but he appreciated the efforts of the team and saying they would continue pushing them by correcting the mistakes they observed in the attacking area.
“We would continue working in the remaining twenty-eight matches in the Season to ensure that we finish the league in a good position and expressed confidence that his players would make it,” Coach Salisu said.
He said the team is going to Benin with positive minds to fight and get something against Dakada football club in Match Day eleven on Sunday.
The technical adviser maintained that he has confidence the team would not come back empty from Benin by God’s grace and urged his boys to put the draw behind their minds.
On his part, the Captain of the side legend Rabi’u Ali aka Pele said with football, you win some to lose some, and at times to draw but we never expected it like this in this match.
Rabi’u said what happened to us is a lesson as man proposes, God disposes; what God choose is the best and we accepted it in good faith.
With this result, sai masu gida moved to eleven position on the table with fourteen points in ten matches.
