Kano Pillars football club (Sai masu gida) has a long way to go if they want to be on top of the ongoing 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional football league.
Pillars acquired ten points in eight matches they played so far this season after beating MFM football club on Sunday by a lone goal at Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna on matchday eight.
Sai masu Gida youngster midfielder Yusuf Bala Maigoro strike in the thirty-eight minutes of play with an assist from Rabi’u Ali aka Pele gives the home side the maximum points they need in the encounter.
Addressing sports journalists after the match Kano Pillars football club Chief Coach Ibrahim A. Musa said with how they are struggling to win at home by alone goal this season and go away to concede goals is not good for the team.
Coach Ibrahim thanked God for getting the maximum three points in the match which he said is the most important.
“But let me tell you it’s necessary for both we the technical crew and the players to redouble our efforts if we want to see us on the top of the table at the end of the season,” he added.
He said his target before the transfer window was to see the club in the top ten and then use the window to reinforce the areas that they have weaknesses.
Coach Ibrahim said only concentration and commitment can allow them to go to Owerri next week to snatch away points against Heartland football club in Matchday nine which he hopes his boys would do so.
On his part, sensational left fullback of Kano Pillars football club, Fahad Usman expressed confidence that by God’s grace nothing would stop them from winning the league.
He said despite they started the season, not in good shape gradually they are improving, and by the time they neutralize the story will be different.
Fahad Usman thanked their supporters for the prayers they are doing to the team and urged them to sustain the tempo.
