Forty-nine minutes strike by Mark Daniel gives former Nigeria champions Kano Pillars football club aka sai masu gida the maximum points it needed in their encounter with Niger Tornadoes football club in Matchday six in the ongoing 2021/2022 Npfl Season at Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna.

Mark Daniel tapped the ball back to the net of the visitors when he received a pass from the youngster midfielder Yusuf Bala Maigoro inside the box in the forty-nine minutes of play.

In the early nine minutes of the game, Mark Daniel hit the woodwork of Niger Tornadoes football club.

Addressing sports journalists after the match, Kano Pillars football club chief Coach, Ibrahim A. Musa thanked God for the victory which he said they expected since before the game.

He said playing northern teams always gives them difficulty unlike the Enyimba Int’l football club, but thank God, we get what we wanted.

He said his players did well in the match and hope they would carry the winning spirit to Ilorin on match day seven against Kwara United football club on Thursday.

He expressed worry on how the sai masu gida conceded 3-0 in two previous matches they played recently, which he said is not good for a team like Kano Pillars Fc that has the mission to concede such goals in a Match.

“Our target from today is to go and repeat what we did in the last two seasons where we played thirteen to fourteen matches unbeaten,” Coach Ibrahim Said.

Mark Daniel was voted as Man of the match and with this result sai masu gida now has seven points in six matches and moved from the last position in the table to eleventh positions.

Media Officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa said the right full-back of the club Mustapha Jibrin will not travel with the team to Ilorin for the week seven encounter with Kwara United football club due to the injury he sustained during the match.
