A popular Islamic scholar, Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Bamba is dead.
His son Ahmad Muhammad Ahmad announced the death on his verified Facebook page.
The Islamic scholar died on Friday morning after a protracted illness at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano.
Dr. Bamba’s long-running Islamic teaching sessions at Bayero University Kano (BUK) old campus Mosque, which began in 1991, made him famous.
His funeral prayer will take place later this afternoon at BUK old campus Mosque.
