Jigawa: CSN Promotes Science Education in Schools Through Quiz Competition

The Chemical Society of Nigeria ( CSN ) Jigawa state Chapter has organized Chemistry quiz competition for secondary schools in the state.

The quiz competition took place at Federal University Dutse Students center hall on Wednesday.

Participants were drawn from science secondary schools across the state including Jigawa State Academy for the gifted, Bamaina.

The representative of Jigawa state commissioner of education science and technology, Dr. Lawan Yunusa Danzomo commended they students who participated in quiz competition.

He also encouraged the students to continue to concentrate in their education so as to have a brighter future in a better society.

The Jigawa CSN Chairman, Professor Ali Audu Sani said the objectives of the competition is to promote the advancement of Chemistry and Science education in the state. And to select the best two students that will represent Jigawa state at the national chemistry quiz competition organized by CSN Schedule to for 7th November 2021 in Lagos State.

Aliyu Muhammad Sani from Adams Science and Tahfizul Qur’an Academy Majia secured the first position while Sani Bello from Jigawa state Academy for the Gifted, Bamaina came second in the quiz competition.

After untying the second time with Sani Bello, the third position goes to Maryam Muhammad Musa of government girls’ science secondary school, Taura.

And finally, the fourth position after untying with Sani Bello and Maryam Muhammad Musa in the first stage went to Maryam Ibrahim of government girls’ science secondary school, Taura.
