Ganduje Reacts to Allegation, says no Camp is Excluded from APC Congress

Usman Garba

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has reacted to those who sidelined themselves to sabotage the APC progress by claiming that the previous APC ward and local government elections were not based on merit and should be cancelled.

Ganduje responded during the APC Stakeholders meeting held at Africa House, Government House, Thursday.

Stallion Times reports that a Joint Stakeholders Forum including Senators Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, Kabiru Gaya, Senator Barau I. Jibrin with four House of Representatives members met and wrote a petition to the APC National Headquarters accusing the governor of isolating them from the party affairs.

Senator Kabiru Gaya has since disassociated himself from the allegation.

During the stakeholders meeting, governor Ganduje said, “You have failed to bring good projects to your constituents and you are now accusing me.”

“The money you are collecting in Abuja has not come down to your constituencies and you’re blaming me; making me a scapegoat to your problems.

“The congress is holding on Saturday and the doors are opened for all to come and contest.

“It is either by election or by consensus. Even where there are no opposing candidates, the contestants will still be subjected to voting.”

Earlier, Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, representing North Central said “I am with governor Ganduje. He did a lot of things to me and I can’t turn away from him, forgetting the good things he has done to me.”
