Kano State Head of Service, Hajiya Binta Lawan Ahmad, disclosed this when she declared a 5-day validation session of the draft systematic land titling and registration (SLTR) and sectional titling (ST) laws for Kano state.
According to a statement, Monday, by the information officer, Kano state bureau for land management (KSBLM), Murtala Shehu Umar, Hajiya Binta said Kano state government accorded priority to ensuring compliance with standard of best practice especially in the areas of governance through transparent process and procedure in implementation of Government policies and programs.
She government is truly humbled and gratified by the effort of the Bureau for land management for its commitment towards the transformation of land administrations.
Hajia Binta also assured the government readiness to collaborate with all stakeholders for the realization of these laws.
In her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, KSBLM, Dr. Zainab Ibrahim Braji, said when these two laws come into existence, they would bring a new face of land administration in Kano in line with the global best practices.
She further said, the laws would provide ample opportunities and job creation for other professionals such as: Surveyors, Architectures, Town planners, Estate surveyors and managers.
