The Jigawa State Government is set to establish two hundred new nomadic schools and also employ ten herders from each of the twenty-seven local government areas of the state.
The Executive Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar disclosed this when he received the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Jigawa state Chapter.
This was contained in a statement issued to Stallion Times on Friday by the Senior Special Assistance to Jigawa state governor on New Media, Auwal D sankara.
According to the statement, Governor Badaru’s administration is focused on ensuring that every citizen of the state benefited from efforts to increase access to education and also improve the living standard of herders across the state.
The State Chairman of the Association, Malam Adamu Adamu said that they were at the government house cement the existing relationship between the government and their members.
He said the state government must be commended in its effort to ensure that there is peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders across the state.
Mallam Adamu also said with the support they are receiving from Jigawa government, the members of the association will continue to do their best to ensure that peace continue to rain in the state and would fish out any criminal elements among them.
