All Progressive Congress (APC) local government area (LGAs) congresses were conducted smoothly in all the 27-local government in Jigawa state.
It was observed that all the newly elected local governments party executives emerged through consensus and affirmations.
However, up to the time of filing this report there was no single incidence of violence or alleged irregularities during the congresses at all the 27 LGAs.
It was also observed that, the consensus formula adopted at the congress has contributes in making the exercise smoothly, pass and peaceful.
In his comment about the congresses, the Jigawa State Secretary of APC local Congress Committee, Alhaji Haruna Musa expressed his appreciation on the outcome of the congressES at all the 27- LGAs.
Alhaji Haruna who was sent to the state by APC national headquarter commended the party members in Jigawa for exhibiting high sense of maturity and patriotism during the conduct of the congress.
He however described, the success of the congress as a step forward towards APC’s overwhelming victory in 2023 general election.
Also commenting on the exercise, the Chairman local organizing committee, Hon. Lawan Yunusa Danzomo said, the congress recorded 99 percent success in the state.
“The party is getting more and more stronger and more united after each congress, this ensued from the action of our leader and governor of Jigawa state, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar who allowed democracy to take it cause at all level,” Danzomo declared.
