The All Progressive Congress (APC), Kebbi State has elected its Local Government executives through consensus during the party congress in all the 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs).
In his remark, At the Justice Ibrahim Umaru Primary school, the venue of the Birnin Kebbi Local Government Congress, which comprises of 15 wards, and was monitored by APC National Congress Committee.
Leader of the delegation, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, applauded Kebbi state chapter of APC for peaceful conduct of the LG congresses.
He noted that in all the APC states, only Kebbi state congresses were the most peaceful without crisis. And all the delegate and stakeholders adopted consensus to elect their LG officers.
He also commended the administration of APC, under the leadership of Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for being a good leader, who produced sons and daughters of the state for national assignments.
He noted that Abubakar Malami (SAN) is a good example of illustrious son of the state who is contributing to the national development.
Speaking on their position, the Minister of justice Abubakar Malami explained that all the APC stakeholders generally adopted consensus for their congresses, right from the ward to Local Government.
He commended the state governor Bagudu for his purposeful leadership which has brought all the important politicians in Kebbi into APC.
Malami noted that the govenor Bagudu is now laying a foundation for peace, development and good leadership in the state.
He appealed to all the delegates to continue to maintain their peaceful conduct in the forthcoming state congress.
Speaking earlier at the Congress, the Personal Assistant to Governor Bagudu, Alhaji Faruk Musa explained that all the stakeholders generally agreed and signed congresses resolution that from the ward to the state levels, election would be by consensus.
In his remarks, Chairman, APC Caretaker Committee, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed Fans urged the new officers to be loyal and dedicate to the party and its leaders.
While speaking on behalf of Elders Forum, Alhaji Sanni Hukuma Zauro, commended all the delegates for their peaceful conduct and Minister of Justice for overseeing the successful congresses.
