Thousands of Youth groups from across the nation stormed Bamaina town of Jigawa state begging former state Governor Alhaji Sule Lamido to Join the 2023 presidential race to liberate the country.
The youths from all the six geopolitical zone were in Bamaina to congratulate Sule Lamido on his 73 years birthday.
In his speech, Sunusi Adamu Gama from North East said, everybody can bear witness that Nigeria is currently heading to a doom, and it requires a strongman with vast experience and selfless commitment to liberate it from this lethal danger.
According to him, Sule Lamido is among very few Nigerians who have the capacity and audacity to confront the task of changing the narrative from bad to good in the country.
Also, in his speech on behalf of the South-south youth, Mr Blessing Oka known as (General Meyu) said the country is in darkness and horror as a result of bad leaders who lack any knowledge of Leadership.
“On behalf of south-south youth, I am begging you to come and rescue the nation as we believed you can do the job and you have all it required to take the country to the promising land.”
Alhaji Usman Gama from Northeast described the socio-economic and security challenges in the country as very alarming and base on the available evidence, the current leadership of the country have no knowledge and political will to tackle the situation.
“We Nigerian youth are looking for fathers who can clear these mess, put the country back on the right track and lay foundation for prosperous future before we come and takeover.
“We now settle for Sule Lamido to do the job,” he declared.
Mr Gambari Bashir Idowu from Southwest described Alhaji Sule Lamido as a true democrat who excavated Jigawa state from below to above sea level and become a reference point in Nigeria.
According to him, Lamido was tested and trusted therefore they are calling on Nigerians to come out and insist for Sule Lamido to come and rescue the nation from the hands of amateur.
The group promised to go round the country to mobilize 30 million people to actualize Sule Lamido presidential bid which remains the only alternative for the nation.
“The survival of Nigeria as a single entity, with love, unity, peace and progress is our ultimate goal and we all believe Sule Lamido can deliver us,” the youths declared.
In his response Alhaji Sule Lamido challenged the youths to be masters of their own destiny. “It is time for you to act in a right direction, uphold sincerity, honesty, dedication, love to the nation and humanity to form a common future for Nigerian family.
According to him, the major challenge in the country is how to restore love, unity and confidence between Nigerians as the country is currently polarized and divided along the ethnic, religious and geographic sentiment by self-centered politicians describing the development as very unfortunate.
