Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal will not be Intimidated by the wind of defection from PDP to All Progressive Congress (APC).

The state secretary of the People’s Democratic Congress (PDP), Abubakar Zaki Bashire disclosed this to newsmen in an interview in Sokoto.

He said there is no iota of truth that Governor Tambuwal is planning to leave PDP for APC now or in the near future.

Bashir further stated that, no party stalwart in the state is nursing the ambition to leave the party, talk more of his excellency, the Governor.

He said PDP leadership and their followers believed that only God gives and takes away power at and when he so wishes, as such no amount of defection would make them to succumb.

The PDP scribe however stated that, what happen or is about to happen in Zamfara is the fear of known by the Governor, not knowing that God made him the Governor of Zamfara state without votes when APC was on the ground with all structures and machinery of Government on the ground.

He said being in the APC would not change anything or a yard stick or guarantee his return to office in 2023.

According to him, only mass defection of people would raise alarm to the PDP, not the defection of political office holders who were only fighting to maintain their seats.

He cited example with the happening in Zaria, Kaduna state during at legislative bye election where despite the presence of Governor Nasiru Elrufai and mass rigging by the APC, the PDP became victorious defeating the so called ruling party APC at the poll.

“let me tell you that, by the grace of God in 2023 PDP will become victorious in presidential election” says Bashire

“Nigerians are tired of the APC the administration considering the untold hardship being experienced nationwide since the party took the mantle of leadership six years ago,” he added.
