The Army in Kano has assured the Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA) of its maximum cooperation in the course of discharging its duty for effective outcomes.
Brigadier General S. Nicodemus, Commander, 3rd Motorized Infantry Brigade, Bukavu Barracks Kano, made the commitment during a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of KAROTA, Hon. Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi.
According to him, the outgoing Commander had informed him of the cordial working relationship that exists between the two, hence, the need for the visit to solicit cooperation to maintain the rapport.
Nabilusi Abubakar, KAROTA Public Relations Officer in a statement made available to Stallion Times on Wednesday, said Brigadier Nicodemus assured that the 3rd Motorized Infantry Brigade will accord KAROTA the necessary support it required.
He acknowledged that he was also briefed about the misunderstanding between men of the Nigeria Army and KAROTA, noting that it’s is natural and should be reported immediately for prompt and appropriate action.
The Commander thanked the MD KAROTA and his men for the warm reception and hope for a cordial relationship during his stay in Kano.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of KAROTA, Hon. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi said indeed his agency had a wonderful working relationship with the former Commander who has been reassigned to another command hoping that the tempo will be sustained by the new Commander.
He assured that his Agency will work with the new Commander for the benefit of the State.
He also stressed that hardly does KAROTA have any issue with the Military within the state, adding that most of the crisis recorded were mostly of military men on transit.
The MD said he has admonished his officers to always accord every military man due respect and be patient with them, and report misunderstandings to the appropriate authorities before it gets out of hand.
