The Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board, has destroyed expired products worth N98 million that where apprehended at various markets in the state.
In his remark while leading the operation, the Executive Secretary of the Board, represented by the Director Environmental and Public Health, Alh. Usman Rabiu Sadiq explained that, the exercise was is aim at protecting public health against using hazardous products that may hamper their health especially with the coming of the Ramadan season.
the Information Officer of the board, Maikudi Muhammad Marafa in a statement, Monday, said the Director further explained that the exercise was conducted after receiving a court order directing for the destruction of the expired products.
He called on the people in the state to be extra vigilant on rampant use of expired products.
Among the products destroyed according to the Director include, Drugs, Baking Powder, Minerals and other exotics drinks.
