Sokoto Police Command Commences Second Enrolment of NHIS for Retired Officers

Sokoto state police command has commenced the second phase of enrolment exercise of retired police officers who were yet to register in the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS)

The exercise which is in phases will take place at four police Area commands in Sokoto state.

All retired police officers who were not captured in the 1st phase of the exercise, are therefore required to visit any Police Area Command nearest to them with their letter of retirement and Retiree’s Identity Card.

According to a press statement made available to Journalists in Sokoto by the command Public Relations Officer, ASP Sanusi Abubakar, the registration and services provided under this scheme is absolutely free and without any form of deduction whatsoever from the retiree’s monthly pension.

The Commissioner of Police, Sokoto State Command, Kamaldeen Kola Okunlola urged all retired police officers who were not captured during the 1st phase to take advantage of the 2nd phase enrolment drive and have themselves captured and documented.

The commissioner however commended the retirees for their cooperation and support they exhibited during the first exercise, saying that he hopes, the tempo would be maintained
