Kano State Covid-19 Taskforce Technical Committee has established a home-based care program aimed at reaching people in remote places with a view to tackling the spread of the pandemic among the teeming populace in the state.
In his remark while inaugurating the program, Kano State Commissioner of Health Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa explained that, the second wave of the pandemic necessitated the establishment of the program, stressing that, health personnel have already been trained and provided with motorcycles and medication to reach every nook and cranny with a view to rendering home-care health emergency services.
He called on the personnel to be committed in the discharge of their assignment.
Earlier, in his remarks, the State Coordinator, Covid-19 Task force Committee who also is the Executive Secretary, State Primary Healthcare Management Board, Dr. Tijjani Hussain disclosed that, the program is aim at conducting community target sampling and rendering emergency services to people in hard-to-reach communities.
He commended the state government for it’s support to the task force towards eradicating the pandemic in the state.
Dr. Hussaini then called on the public to give all the necessary support and cooperation to the health personnel so as to achieve the desire set objective.
